Exploring Computer Science

Here's four things I know about Computer Science without researching it. I know that one of the things it's about is writing code for apps, websites, and more. S.T.E.M., which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, is also a part of Computer Science. Even cars have some things to do with Computer Science. Finally, parts of electronic devices like a computer or cell phone are related to Computer Science.

In conclusion, Computer Science is basically about technology in general.

Marketing Yourself on the Web (Learning Reflection Blog Post # 4)

I learned in this unit of work that you could sell yourself by using Facebook, Twitter, even Instagram, and more. I also learned that you should make your profile and website professional! In addition, YouTube can be used to show your style, personality, and etc. Podcasts, which are audio recordings of a blog post or something similar to it, helps as all the followers have to do is listen to the post instead of reading it. What I've learned about marketing yourself on the web should be helpful to everyone in the future, and you and I are no exceptions, because this information can help us look more professional on the internet.

Filling Out an Application (Learning Reflection Blog Post # 3)

I learned in this unit of work that you need to answer every single question that's on the application. Make sure that you write down your updated contact information as well. And please don't lie on it, because you'll have to eventually deal with them later, and not in a good way. Also, you're only allowed to use a pen with blue or black ink on it, and be neat on the application that way no one will have a hard time reading the things that you wrote on your application. In ending, if you want to make someone or some people references, ask them first, because they may not want to be a reference. What I have learned about filling out an application should help everybody in the future, including you and I, because at least now we won't have to worry about doing the application incorrectly.

Searching for a Job (Learning Reflection Blog Post # 2)

I learned in this unit of work that it takes time to search for a job. I also learned that you have to be open-minded. Plus, you could ask people that are in your area or neighborhood about looking for an occupation. Finding a job on the internet isn't bad either. In conclusion, as other people might be searching for the same job as you, looking for a job can be really hard. What I've learned about finding a job may help us in the future because the next time we're searching for somewhere to work, it won't be as hard as it might have been the first time.

Creating a Resume (Learning Reflection Blog Post # 1)

I learned in this unit of work that you should put down what you're interested in on your resume. I also learned in this unit of work that you should add your skills in your resume. Not only that, but your grammar should be proper in your resume. Even what the resume looks like matters. Finally, add in as much courses that you took in high school and/or college as you can. What I have learned about making my very own resume could help us in the future because you'll need one for interviews and getting jobs, and it'll make those two things easier too.

Careers & College Admissions

Last month, I had logged on to Naviance to research some colleges. I did that by using the SuperMatch College Search that they had on their website. There, I found and pinned three colleges. I mainly searched for colleges that taught animation, allowed me to stay home instead of living on campus, and etc. I haven't gotten any college admissions yet, and I'm not worried about them yet either.
